Today, DC unleashed a plethora of character posters and the new trailer for James Gunn’s version of The Suicide Squad today. You can watch the trailer below and also check out all the posters as well.
As you can tell James Gunn has really gone to town for this new vision of one of the DC Universe’s hottest properties.
Super-Villains Harley Quinn, Bloodsport, Peacemaker and a collection of cons at Belle Reve prison join the super-secret, super-shady Task Force X where they are heavily-armed and dropped off at the remote, enemy-infused island of Corto Maltese
Gunn’s incarnation of The Suicide Sqaud looks miles away from Zack Synder’s darker vision for the villianous group. Margot Robbie is back channeling her Birds Of Prey version of Harley Quinn, Idris Elba is back at his gruff best as the groups leader Bloodsport and even John Cena as Peacemaker looks a whole heap of fun. Throw in a Sylvester Stallone voiced King Shark literally tearing people apart and Gunn regulars Michael Rooker and his brother Sean Gunn and it on this initial look seems like a recipie for success. Time will tell when it hits cinemas and HBO Max in the US in August.
