10. Pirates – Release Date: 26th November

First up is Pirates directed by Reggie Yates. Reggie Yates is probably best known for his TV Presenting and Radio DJing. However here he is bringing us his directorial debut, which to us looks like a UK version of House Party (Kid ‘N’ Play movie from the 90s) with a energetic soundtraic and some highly charasmatic leads.

New Year’s Eve 1999. Cappo, Two Tonne, and Kidda drive through London in their tiny Peugeot 205, pumping a live UK garage set from the stereo and arguing about their Avirex jackets and Naf Naf imports. As the eighteen-year-olds step into adulthood they know their lives and friendships are on the brink of change. Determined to end the century on a bang they drive across the city in a desperate search for tickets for the best millennium party EVER. https://pirates.film/

9. Rocky IV: Rocky Vs. Drago The Directors Cut – Release Date: 19th November

Lets be honest we all know that Rocky IV is the greatest Rocky movie of all time. Yes the first one may have won an Oscar and majority of people (Us included) have Rocky III as their favourite, but IV is THE best. Now Sylvester Stallone has given us a early Christmas treat, by revisiting this classic and reworking it (Gone is Paulies robot) and added 40 mins of new footage! It’s geting a very limited release from Park Circus so check your local cinema listings, but this is going to be one you won’t want to miss!

Director, Writer and star Sylvester Stallone masterfully reshapes ROCKY IV, delivering 40 minutes of never-before-seen footage. With more intense fight scenes, world heavyweight champion Rocky Balboa (Stallone) defends his title once again, this time against Drago (Dolph Lundgren), a six-foot-four, 261-pound fighter who has the backing of the Soviet Union.

8. King Richard – Release Date: 19th November

Will Smith returns to the sports biopic (After the success of Ali) with King Richard. Starring as the Williams sisters father, coach and all round cheerleader, the trailer looks like this is going to be another big hit for Will Smith, who is always watchable whenever his latest releases hits the big screen.

A look at how tennis superstars Venus and Serena Williams became who they are after the coaching from their father Richard Williams.

7. Encanto – Release Date 24th November

Who doesn’t love a Disney movie around Christmas time. Just in time for the Christmas holidays, the latest animation from the House Of Mouse is here. Encanto, comes across as a hybrid of Coco and Luca in style, it’s sure to be another feel-good fun movie for all the family.

The Madrigals are an extraordinary family who live hidden in the mountains of Colombia in a charmed place called the Encanto. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift — every child except Mirabel. However, she soon may be the Madrigals last hope when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is now in danger.

6. The Matrix Resurrections – Release Date: 22nd December

The Matrix. It’s back. And hopefully it’s going to be a whole lot better than the other woeful sequels. The original was such an exciting shot of adrenaline when it first appeared back in the late 90’s. The trailer quite honestly has us excited once more so lets wait and see what Neo and co. have in store for us.

Plagued by strange memories, Neo’s life takes an unexpected turn when he finds himself back inside the Matrix.

5. The House Of Gucci – Release Date: 26th November

Lady Gaga is back after her triumphant screen debut in A Star Is Born. This time jopining a cast to die for (Adam Driver, Jared Leto, Jeremy Irons & Al Pacino) and director Ridley Scott in another biopic this time the fashionista family of the Guccis. The trailer almost looks something akin to a Bond movie and Gaga again looks like she’s putting in another award baiting performance surrounded by some of the best actors about. Hopefully this is going to turn out to be as enthralling as it looks.

House of Gucci is inspired by the shocking true story of the family behind the Italian fashion empire. When Patrizia Reggiani (Lady Gaga), an outsider from humble beginnings, marries into the Gucci family, her unbridled ambition begins to unravel the family legacy and triggers a reckless spiral of betrayal, decadence, revenge, and ultimately…murder.

4. The Kings Man – Release Date: 22nd December

Kingsman The Secret Service, much like The Matrix when it first arrived blew everyone away with it’s fresh originality, excellent cast and boundless violence… Now we are getting an origin story that looks equally as brilliant as the first two. If Dinsey and biopics aren’t your thing then maybe this will be. Co-incidentally this is being released on the same day as the Matrix sequel too.

One man must race against time to stop history’s worst tyrants and criminal masterminds as they get together to plot a war that could wipe out millions of people and destroy humanity.

3. Spider-Man: No Way – Home Release Date: 17th November

The top 3 most anticipated movies here at Screen One begins right now. It was more than likely that this list wouldn’t have escaped wihtout at least one superhero movie. So probably the most anticapted MCU film since Endgame. Probably becuas the early buzz of old villians returning and maybe becuase the possibility that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield might be multiverse Spider-men (Look come on Marvel we all know they are in it, just get with the reveal already), but it shrouded in so much secrecy we don’t even have an official poster yet. Whatever happens we are fairly certain it’s going to be epic.

For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.

2. West Side Story – Release Date: 10th December

We’re normally ones for leaving the classics alone, but Mr Steven Spielberg has us very intrigued with the upcoming West Side Story remake. Why remake probably the best movie musical of all time? Well, from the trailer it looks simply incredible. Plus you can’t beat a good musical come Christmas time as we’ve just mentioned, West Side Stroy is probably the best, so colour us excited for this.

An adaptation of the 1957 musical, West Side Story explores forbidden love and the rivalry between the Jets and the Sharks, two teenage street gangs of different ethnic backgrounds.

  1. Ghostbusters: Afterlife – Release Date: November 18th

Here it is then our number one most anticipated movie. Ghostbusters: Afterlife. It shouldn’t be a surprise to anyone who has followed Screen One over the years. Because you would know it’s our alltime favourite movie (The original one that is). In what looks like the sequel that we’ve all wanted for a long time, this is one we will be in the queue for early. The trailer alone has had us super excited sinnce the summer and we simply cannot wait. It feels like back years ago when a big movie was coming out and we were excited like a child at Christmas, and Ghostbusters: Afterlife is doing just that!

In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, when a single mum and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind. The film is written by Gil Kenan & Jason Reitman.
