Just before we come into land with the final day of the Screen One Movie Musicals Month, we give you another of Alan Parker’s classics. Fame, a film that spawned a hit TV series and several incarnations of stage musicals. It was the also the basis for High School Musical. Some superb performances on display and Gene Anthony Ray was a revelation. The song was an instant school disco classic and still all you need is the first few bars and you instantly know what it is.
