Matilda lives with her brother and parents, who are unappreciative of her. She utilises her telekinetic abilities to settle the score after her principal brutally tortures her with the help of her kind-hearted teacher.
The beloved book, that became a beloved movie, that became a beloved stage show, that is now a beloved movie musical. A superb translation from book/stage to screen. It encapsulates all thats great about this Roald Dahl book. Equally dark and uplifting. Tim Minchin’s music and lyrics are spot on and this is great fun for young and old alike.
