Dear Evan Hansen is a coming-of-age stage musical with music and lyrics by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, and a book by Steven Levenson. The musical follows Evan Hansen, a high school senior with social anxiety, “who invents an important role for himself in a tragedy that he did not earn”

One of the more modern releases on the list. Very sucessfully transferred from the stage to the big screen. Featuring a stroyline that isn’t your usual musical fare, but it has some incredible tunes none more so than “You Will Be Found” which was somewhat of a anthem for a generation during the COVID pandemic. Emotional and uplifiting, Dear Evan Hansen will tug at your heatstrings right from the outset.
