Again the choice sits with the original version and not the remake, although the 2021 Steven Speilberg is very very good, it’s simply not a patch on what many think is the greatest musical of all time (You can fight that out with Singing in the Rain if you wish, but we’re not getting invovled). The classic rettelling of the story of Romeo and Juliet is an nailed on timeless classic, which is a phrase banded about a lot, but for once, this film is worthy of that title. unmissbale.
