Simply the most essential composer currently in the world and in cinema, Ludovico Einaudi, has released his latest album aptly named ‘Cinema’.
With a career spanning three decades, composer and pianist Ludovico Einaudi’s captivating music has become some of the most recognisable in the world.It can be currently be heard on the soundtracks to Oscar, BAFTA and Golden Globe-winning films Nomadland and The Father. Now, in celebration of his achievements, Decca Records is thrilled to release Cinema–anew, handpicked collection of Einaudi’s musical works from film and TV, out now.
Cinema features 28 emotional tracks from the big and small screen, including Nomadland, The Father, The Water Diviner, This Is England, I’m Still Here, Insidious, Doctor Foster and more. There are also two previously unreleased recordings: the title track from Russell Crowe’s 2014 movie The Water Diviner and new single ‘My Journey’ from The Father, the award-winning film starring Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Colman.
From it’s beautiful opening with ‘Experience’ (This Is England 90) to the closing of the album with ‘Low Mist 1’ (Nomadland) every track will take you through a range of emotions and leave you ultimately inspired as Einaudi’s captivating work is simply magnificent.
The previously unreleased work from The Water Diviner is a very welcome addition to proceedings and encapsulates exactly what Einaudi brings to every work he composes. Every piece works within the setting of each movie as it’s own full blooded character. The gentleness of every note is filled with such raw power that you’d be forgiven for being moved to tears each time you hear it.
Cinema while featuring a lot of music you’ve heard before, is absolutely essential as when you first heard it. Ludovico Einaudi and this ‘Cinema’ collection should be in everyones playlist or music player as soon as humanly possible.
