Our good friends over at Shogun Films, give us our first full look at their latest action film Renegades, distributed by Saban Films. You can watch the trailer above and get hyped for the film which is releasing in the US this December.
The film is directed by action movie veteran filmmaker Daniel Zirilli and written by Tom Jolliffe, with a story by Jonathan Sothcott, who also produced. A troupe of action staples headlines the cast, with names like Lee Majors (The Six Million Dollar Man) and Danny Trejo (Machete) being joined by Nick Moran, Ian Ogilvy, Patsy Kensit, Billy Murray, Paul Barber, Jeanine Nerissa Sothcott, Michael Paré, Stephanie Beacham, Michael Brandon, Louis Mandylor, and Tommy ‘Tiny’ Lister in one of his last roles.
A story of revenge, Renegades begins with the cold-blooded murder of veteran Green Beret Major Carver (Majors). Goram (Mandylor) and the international drug gang he controls are behind the crime, and they are threatening Carver’s daughter, Judy (Kensit). When they learn of this, Carver’s old special forces comrades – Burton (Moran), Peck (Ogilvy), Woody (Murray), and Harris (Barber) – will band together for retribution, aided by Sanchez (Trejo). With the police (Sothcott) hot on their trail, these men will launch a guerrilla-style campaign in an attempt to bring down Goram’s criminal empire, and take revenge for the murder of their friend. This action-packed feature pits old-school Special Forces against a new wave of criminals on the streets of London.
