Cobra Kai fans, Netflix have announced that the new season of the very popular series Cobra Kai, has had its release date bumped up from the usual end of year December spot, up to September 9th!
That’s right, it’s time to get back in the dojo early this year with the shocking events from Season 4 to continue into season 5. Miyagi-Do and Eagle Claw were defeated by Cobra Kai now led by the dastardly Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith), who has seemingly done away with Kreese (Martin Kove) by setting him up with an assault charge. Daniel (Ralph Macchio) has called in reinforcements in his ongoing battle in the shape of Chozen (Yuji Okumoto). Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) with Robby (Tanner Buchanan) in tow are off in pursuit of the missing Miguel (Xolo Mariduena). And that’s just for starters…
As the trailer above shows, all the main cast are back and it’s continuing drama and comedy laced up in one big ball of fury shows no sign of. Slowing down anytime soon. Outside of Stranger Things, this is probably one of the most anticipated new seasons that Netflix are releasing in 2022, hence the moving of the release date.
So while we await the new season, you can watch the trailer above and take a look at a few new images that have been released. But what are you looking forward to in the new season? Could we see some new returning characters from Miyagi-verse such as ‘Bad Boy’ Mike Barnes (Sean Kanan) or The Next Karate Kids Julie Pierce (Hilary Swank), Dugan (Michael Ironside), Ned (Michael Cavalieri) or Eric (Chris Conrad. Who knows at this point but as we have seen from previous seasons anything is possible.
So buckle up, get ready and keep it locked in here at Screen One as we bring you all the latest Cobra Kai Season 5 news, review and features.
