Blumhouse has officially dropped the first poster and teaser trailer for M3GAN 2.0, the much-anticipated sequel to 2023’s viral horror sensation, and let’s just say… she’s back and deadlier than ever. If the original film had you nervously side-eyeing your Alexa, this next chapter promises even more A.I. mayhem, as M3GAN faces off against something even more terrifying—herself.
Set two years after the events of M3GAN, the sequel sees tech genius Gemma (Allison Williams) thrust back into the nightmare she thought she had buried. Now a prominent advocate for A.I. regulation, Gemma finds herself at odds with her rebellious teenage niece, Cady (Violet McGraw). But their biggest problem isn’t family drama—it’s the stolen M3GAN tech that has been weaponised by a shady defence contractor. Enter Amelia (Ivanna Sakhno), a military-grade infiltration unit with all of M3GAN’s intelligence but none of her questionable loyalty.
With humanity’s survival at stake, there’s only one solution: bring back M3GAN (Amie Donald, voiced by Jenna Davis) and give her a serious upgrade. Stronger, smarter, and with even more attitude, M3GAN 2.0 is here, and she’s ready to take on her deadliest rival yet.
The first M3GAN became an instant pop culture phenomenon, grossing over $180 million worldwide and delivering an unforgettable mix of horror, dark humour, and campy chaos. From her eerie TikTok-ready dance moves to her unhinged quips, M3GAN was the horror icon we never knew we needed.
Now, director Gerard Johnstone returns alongside producers James Wan and Jason Blum, ensuring M3GAN 2.0 keeps the same killer energy while raising the stakes. The sequel introduces a fresh line-up of characters played by Saturday Night Live’s Aristotle Athari, Percy Jackson’s Timm Sharp, and Grammy-winning comedy legend Jemaine Clement (What We Do in the Shadows). Returning favourites Brian Jordan Alvarez and Jen Van Epps are also back as Gemma’s ever-loyal tech colleagues, Cole and Tess.
