Sony Pictures has just dropped the chilling new trailer for I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER, the modern-day reboot of the iconic late-’90s slasher. Dropping just in time for peak horror season, the trailer gives a tense and bloody first look at what promises to be a stylish and brutal reimagining of the cult favourite. This new take follows five friends who, after causing a fatal car accident, decide to cover it up and make a pact to stay silent. But secrets never stay buried. A year later, someone—or something—knows what they did and is out for revenge. As their number starts to dwindle, they discover their story may not be unique… and the horrors of 1997 are repeating themselves. Enter two very familiar faces: Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jennifer Love Hewitt reprise their roles from the original film, returning to guide (or warn?) the next generation.
Directed by Do Revenge’s Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, the cast includes a mix of rising stars and original alumni:
