Warren Dudley’s new horror thriller FRIGHT will have its World Premiere at The Odeon Luxe West End, Leicester Square on Monday 26th August at 1pm, as part of this year’s FrightFest Film Festival.
FRIGHT tells the chilling story of young Emily, whose life is confined to a sprawling gothic mansion by her severe agoraphobia and her peculiar, domineering mother. As Emily teeters on the edge of sanity, she must confront the malevolent forces that lurk just beyond her door…
With its cut glass English accents and visual homages to horror classics like The Haunting and Psycho, FRIGHTmarks Dudley’s fifth feature film. This follows the success of his 2021 multi-award-winning drama, Six Years Gone. Reflecting on the inspiration behind FRIGHT, Dudley shared, “The premise of Fright is something I have been contemplating for a few years but could not make work in a modern day environment. Then, when watching The Innocents late one night, I thought – hang on – that could be great!”
Dudley also elaborated on the film’s aesthetic, stating, “I wanted to evoke that feeling people my age would get when you’d be off sick from school and they’d put a creepy old black and white movie on BBC2 in the afternoon. I think my amazing cast and crew, and particularly my two leads (Gwyneth Evans and Jill Priest) have pulled it off.” FRIGHT also features Daniel Tuite, known for his role in Game of Thrones.
The film will be shown at The Odeon Luxe West End on Bank Holiday Monday, August 26th at 1pm. Tickets will be available for general sale starting July 20th.
