All the films selected are from the Christmas movie genre. They might might be family comedies, classics, animation or a straight up feel-good movie, but be assured they are all Christmas movies for you. We will present one a day, some maybe more obvious enteries than others, but we hope that you enjoy them all.

Scrooged (2003) Dir. Richard Donner Stream: PRIME
High-spirited high jinks on Christmas Eve put Frank Cross (Bill Murray) in a ghostly time warp in this hilarious take-off of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.” Cross, who has made the meteoric rise from the depths of the mailroom to TV network president, is mean, nasty, uncaring, unforgiving and has a sadistic sense of humor – perfect qualities for a modern-day Scrooge. Before the night is over, he’ll be visited by a maniacal New York cab driver from the past, a present-day fairy who’s into pratfalls and, finally, a ghoulish, seven-foot-headless messenger from the future.
This is not the last time we will be seeing Dickens A Christmas Carol in this list. There are simply so many great versions on film and here’s one of them. For day 17 on the Screen One Christmas Movie Countdown we have Bill Murray in sensational form as Frank Cross, the nasty TV boss who is in need of some Christmas spirit courtesy of some spooky visitations. Some absolutely hysterical gags and Murray powering his way through proceedings make this a much loved take on the Dickens classic. It’s one of those films that no many how times you watch it, you simply can’t wait to watch it again.
